Today I went searching for a place to take some photographs.
Audrey agreed to be my model.
That is until I took the first shot.
"I'm done Mommy"
Grrrr
Admittedly, I was bugged.
I had timed our arrival just right to get the light that I wanted.
The field was dancing in the sunset.
Yet, she was still unwilling.
"Look, there are cows Mommy. Can we feed them?"
I didn't realize until I got home later, after I loaded the pictures onto my computer, that I got pictures of her.... that defined her.
My girl loves to twirl.
...and while I didn't end up getting an "awe" shot,
I got one that tells me a lot about my little girl:
A girl who just had to have that specific dress because it was pretty. And it twirled.
A girl who still loves her ladybug rain boots,
even though they are too small, and one boot is missing both antenna.
When I mentioned that her boots didn't quite match her dress,
she looked at me like I was the one who was crazy.
A girl who demands on a daily basis to be dressed in dresses -
yet she still gravitates towards sticks.
A girl who loves to have long flowing Rapunzel hair, yet wants it pulled into a pony tail so that it will stay out of her face.
She has a strong personality, yes.... but she is my charming little girl.
