59/365: Out with the Old....

Today I got a new phone.  I didn't want one.  I liked my old one.  No, it wasn't big & fancy with a shinny big screen, but it worked perfect for me.  But I was told that it had to happen.  This little guy has been my friend for a while now.  His best attribute - the calendar.  I could tell who had something going on just by glancing at the month.  Audrey was pink, Oliver green, Me red, Josh blue, & Church functions purple.

Farewell old friend.  I'm going to miss you.
*sigh*

57/365: Princess Party!

Audrey attended the ultimate Princess party today.

There were balloon making guys, a castle bounce house, princess balloon towers everywhere AND Cinderella & Belle made an appearance.  They told stories, sang, painted faces & did nails.

Oh yes, did I mention that it was catered & there was an open bar?  Um, yeah.

Audrey & Oliver had an absolute ball!  Josh & I enjoyed ourselves also :)

55/365: A Letter...

Dear Cat Piano,

For a while there your sound was lost.  Yes, you were cute to look at, but your days on the shelf were many.  Then one recent day your batteries were changed and the gift of sound was given back.  My children love you.  Me, not so much.  Your sound is loud.  The screams & fights over you are many.  I am thinking that your days are numbered.

My Regrets,

THE MOM

53/365: Oliver's Tuesday Mornings

Every Tuesday I go to Mom's Connection & Oliver plays while I have some "Mommy Time" with the ladies.  Today I got the chance to be with Oliver & see just what he is up to when I am away.  He loves this slide.  I love just how much fun he is having.  I know I'm partial - but isn't he cute?!  Ollie....my sweet little boy.

51/365: AH!

Our kids LOVE to listen to the Wicked Soundtrack.  Especially the song Popular.  At the very end of the song Elphaba scares Galinda by saying "Boo".  Galinda screams.  The above pictures are of Audrey & Oliver screaming with Galinda.  As Audrey would say "It's our FAVORITE!"

50/365: Roller Skating!

We went Roller Skating!
This is Audrey & her friend Cecily.  Instead of taking my nice camera, I took Josh's point & shoot (note to self, don't do it again!)  Even though this picture is beyond blurry it is the best one of the bunch.  It was Audrey's first time going & she did so well!  She wasn't even scared to be on wheels.  I was so impressed.

49/365: Our Rainy Day Picnic

It rained today. All day.  So, the kids and I had a picnic inside.  and watched Toy Story 3.  At the end when Andy leaves for college, Audrey cuddled up next to me and said "I'll never leave you Mama.  You're the best."  Ah, how I love that girl.

48/365: A is for Audrey

Do you see the letter "A" on that page?

The one that Audrey wrote?

Yup, you betcha - Audrey wrote her first letter today.  *sigh*

When I asked her who taught her how to do that, she responded "I did.  A is for Audrey."

Huh!  Good to know :)

40/365: A Boy & His Car

This little Elmo car & Oliver have been best buds lately.  Zooming up & down the hallway & into the kitchen.  You can turn the engine on, the propellers begin to twirl & it sings a fun little tune.  What more could a little guy ask for.

38/365: A Little Help in the Kitchen

Audrey was so excited when she grabbed her brother an apron to help us in the kitchen.  My cute little Oliver was so willing to put it on - he even turned around so I could tie the back.  Goodness how I love him.  How I love them both.

36/365: I {Heart} Cookies

I love heart cookies.  Especially when my favorite little girl helps to decorate them.

I found this fun little idea here.

...and yes, they did get a little burned - argh!  Oh well, crunchy cookies are yummy too!

32/365: Two Tender Moments

Today I just couldn't choose one photo.  You will soon see why.

"Ollie - here - let me help you"
This honestly happened!  My heart leapt a little
(and then I dashed like a mad woman upstairs for my camera!)

Such a Daddy's girl.  I can see why... :)
